On deciding on a route to take for this brief I decided to sketch out a few ideas before working digitally. This has meant that I have been able to have feedback discussions with peers on which design would be the most successful and therefore take forward and work with digitally. It was said that the most effective design ideas were the ones that would have a personal meaning to the student sending the post card, as well as to the receiver. In this instant the row of stickmen holding hands would be appropriate as it would signify that the individual is settling in and making friends. The other design that would demonstrate this personal element is the designs showing of the university. This could be in the form of photographs, focusing on the architecture of the facilities that are available to students, especially looking at the methods that you are introduced to in first year.
