Feedback

This feedback/critique session consisted of other colaboration groups working on the same or different briefs. the overall experience was very beneficial as we were able to see what another group who were also working on the Bear brief were doing. This highlighted the importance of having a focused theme behind the cards as this sets it apart from others of a similar theme.

In the feedback for The Great Barrier Reef, YOYO cards, we explained the overall theme and focus to the cards. We demonstrated the playful yet educational tone of voice of the cards through presenting the most recent prints. This also gave an idea of the colour scheme and type-size used. As well as asking for visual and contextual feedback, we also explained the idea of sending 'something' off to receive a free gift in celebration of collecting all 9 cards.

 Overall comments:

- Cards work well and fit as a theme

- 'Stick to sending off the barcode rather than card so that they can be kept.' This comment was made in reference to receiving a free gift. The current system is that barcodes from the packaging are sent to receive the gift which through discussion has been highlighted as the most appropriate response. Many individuals expressed how as a child they liked to collect the cards and therefore would not be willing to loose them for something else unknown at the time.

- If using a coloured background, it could vary depending on the depth that the fish is found at. This makes each card visually distinct yet all still fit as a collection

- Using the same colours as the illustrations for the top trump bars works really well as it creates a consistency to the design and enhances the use of colour

- Adding a background would give the cards more dimension

- A special card - This is something that has been considered and could be applied to The Great Barrier Reef card. This could then be applied to each of the other 7 Wonders locations and reinforce the overall theme

- The typeface in the speech bubbles could differ which would indicate different voices

- Needs more colour without adding more colour - This was a large area of discussion in the feedback session as the amount of colour that is already present on the designs is sufficient and adding more would detract away from the illustrations. I then thought that a way in which this could be overcome is by making all the illustration line drawings white and using bold block colour as the background. This is something to experiment with as it may not be appropriate for the underwater scene.

- The text is written in a fun and engaging way without being patronising to the older target audience
