From analysing the comments that were made in response to the set questions and the one to one discussion that was had with a peer, the decision has been made to develop the #1 idea for the solution to the brief. This decision has been influenced through the comments/discussion which have suggested that this is the most appropriate response to the brief. It will also allow for the experimentation of techniques that I have not previously worked with. This is something that I am keen to learn as expanding my skill set is something that I have aimed to do since Level 4. This response to the problem also allows for more exploration with designing for screen as the transfer between reading a physical magazine and reading on screen has not yet been fully achieved. To ensure that individuals do not fully move away from the printed magazine, the website will only be accessible to those who are subscribers to the magazine. This will mean that they will receive an online and physical copy of the magazine.
Advantages of reading on screen:
- Size of text/page is adjustable
- Portable
- Extras; video, links, save images, links to social media
- More accessible
Disadvantages of reading on screen:
- Not all users may have access to a device
- Requires Wifi or data connection
